Delete your account
Last updated July 12, 2026
You can permanently delete your ClearPractice account and the practice data associated with it at any time. This page explains what gets deleted, what may be retained, and how to request deletion.
Option 1 — Delete from within the app
- Sign in to ClearPractice.
- Go to Settings → Data & Security.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
You'll be signed out immediately and your account will be scheduled for deletion.
Option 2 — Email us
Send a deletion request from the email address on your account to support@clearpractice.app with the subject line "Delete my account". We'll confirm the request and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your user profile and sign-in credentials.
- Your practice's clients, products, invoices, payments, purchase orders, and settings.
- Clinical notes, diagnoses, and uploaded client files.
- Your role and membership in the practice.
What may be retained
- Billing and tax records associated with payments processed by Braintree, as required by law (typically 7 years for financial records).
- Anonymized log and diagnostic data that no longer identifies you.
- Records we are legally required to keep (for example, in response to a subpoena or regulatory request).
Export your data first
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you want a copy of your invoices, clients, or other records, export them from within ClearPractice before requesting deletion, or email support@clearpractice.app for help.
Multi-user practices
If you are the owner of a practice with other members, deleting your account will also delete the practice and remove access for all members. If you only want to remove yourself, transfer ownership first from the Team settings page.
